Car In Front Yard

So while we were in West Sacramento looking at some possible homes for our land in Pine Mountain Lake (and just dreaming)... we got a call from our neighbor asking us how far we were from home because there was an accident at our house and a lady is sitting under our tree. Not knowing exactly what that meant, we headed home as soon as possible. We got home to this wonderful sight!

The grandma driving the car was picking up her son from the school across the street. She was about to turn right on the main street and instead of putting her foot on the brake to stop at the stop sign, she put it on the gas and through our fence, on top of our planter, and hitting down the other part of our fence and the street sign. Fortunately, no kids were hurt as many kids walk around the corner to get into their parents’ cars waiting on our street. Her car had a minor dent but otherwise was driveable once Mike called AAA to have them jack the car up to remove a large landscaping rock that was lodged under her car.

Now we have the pleasure of going through all the hoops of the insurance company to get our fence fixed. We hope to have it done before the baby is born!! :-) UPDATE: WE RECEIVED OUR CHECK FROM THE INSURANCE AND GOT THE FENCE FIXED!
