Caitlin's Baby Shower at Daddy's School

Daddy's school threw Caitlin a baby shower last Thursday, on Valentine's Day. It was so wonderful for Caitlin to meet all the people Daddy works with (plus it was nice for Mommy to see her old co-workers). We were completely showered with love and beautiful gifts for Caitlin. She is going to be one well-dressed baby!!

Past Week

This past week has been a whirl wind... the girls' birthday party was last Saturday and Neitra came out last weekend as well as Mike's best friend, Scott, and his family came up for the party. After the weekend was over, it seemed like we never got back into things and then Michael got sick with some horrible cold... then Delilah... then Mikayla. Mommy and Caitlin continue to pray that we stay healthy and the other sickos get better (but there is this horrible feeling that as soon as Daddy goes back to work, Mommy will get sick!)

Mikayla and Delilah's 4th Birthday Party

So I finally got a slideshow together!! The girls turned 4 in January but we had their 4th Birthday party on February 9th (to give time to become accustomed to the newest lil' addition). We had it at a tea house and the girls had a total blast. There were a total of 15 little princesses there and it couldn't have been any cuter!! The whole thing lasted 2 hours but went so quickly and smoothly... the people there have it down to a science. First they get in there and get dressed up, then get hair, make-up, and nails done... then accessorize. After everyone was all done up.. they did a fashion show before going to have "tea" and sandwiches, pizza, hot dogs. Then the cake was brought out for both of the girls and before we knew it - it was time to get undressed and head out the door.

A VIDEO MONTAGE that Laura Blackwell put together for us.  THANK YOU LAURA!!

Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow

Whoo - these past two days have been some serious hair days!!  Mikayla and Delilah have NEVER had a hair cut (besides for the chunk of hair that Mikayla pulled out of Delilah's head when they were about 1 1/2 years old).  So after consulting with an experienced beautician, she said to straighten their hair before going to get it cut as many hair stylists aren't experienced with the curly hair.  So Thursday night  - it began.  I gave them baths, washed their hair, conditioned it and out they came for their long treacherous beauty regime.

Caitlin feeling bad for the girls...

Mikayla was first and never made a peep. However, the flat iron didn't work to well on her hair the first time through - however, I wasn't going to damage her hair so I left it like it was till at least she got the ends cut.  (Yes that is straightened)
Delilah before her hair gets straightened. (Look at all that hair!!)
Delilah getting her hair straightened (it wasn't the flat iron that was hurting her - just the combing)
Here is Belle afterwards (that is what she said her hair looks like)
Mikayla proud of her little scarf she wore to bed.  Now for those who don't know, they are supposed to wear scarves to keep the hair from getting messed up/tangled.  However, the scarves came off during the night with all their moving around as well as they sweat!!!  That completely defeated the reason for flat ironing - their hair went frizzy (not even curly!!)
Mikayla getting her ends trimmed off (4 year old ends)!  She was such a sport... she never made a peep the whole time!
Delilah, on the other hand, was basically praying for it to be over as soon as possible!
Delilah and all her hair!
Mikayla... almost finished.
Now I know you wanted to see after pictures, but their hair doesn't look to much different to the basic eye - however, it does look healthier in a pony tail AND it is soooo much easier to comb through now!

Bowling For The First Time

Today was our friend's son's 5th birthday. The girls were invited to join him in the celebration at a bowling alley. They had so much fun and both girls even got a strike. Delilah might be signing up for the league... she was knocking the pins down... Mikayla was close behind.
