Play-With-Friends Day

So Friday was Play-with-Friends Day. Hoping our wall would get finished in the morning, I took the girls to meet mommy’s friend, Courtney, and the girls’ friend, Hannah, at the mall park. It was a very cloudy and cool morning so it was a great call to meet at the mall. After they played for 1 1/2 hours, we went to KFC/A&W for some lunch. The girls came home and konked out for a nap.

2 hours later, they woke up and Daddy was on his way home to go to Sam’s Club. After that, we headed over to our friends’ house, Cindy and Brandon, for some BBQ ribs, BBQ beans, potato salad and some fun! The girls got to play with some more of their friends, Jasmyn and Jordyn. Jasmyn is their age (actually born 5 days after them) from preschool and Jordyn is her 2 year old sister that they just adore!

In other news... we are now 24 weeks pregnant! Wow... so this is what it feels like to be 24 weeks and not in bed! :-) Thank you GOD!!! I can truly not praise Him enough for this wonderful experience.

We are heading to the Auburn Home Show today to go look at some possible home/cabins and to see how much money we need to win in the lottery! :-)

Our Friends 40th Birthday

It was Laura’s 40th birthday bash and in honor of the year she was born, her husband made it a 60’s party. Mikayla, of course, had to try on the “do”.

Our babysitter called in sick in the middle of the day so we didn’t think we were going to be able to go, but our friends were more than gracious to have Mikayla and Delilah over at their house for a couple of hours so we could at least make an appearance at the party.

Girls' First Day of Preschool

We didn't think they were going to get to start on the first day. Mikayla had not been feeing well the weekend before but she got better... but then Delilah was up all early morning on Wednesday with a cough and just not feeling well. When Mikayla woke up at 7:30 am, I told her she may not go unless she wanted to go by herself. At first she said she would wait for Delilah to get better but then about 10 minutes later she said she would go by herself to preschool. I was so proud of her since she seemed terrified just a week before.

Then Delilah woke up at 8:00 am saying "I am not sick anymore Mommy". So off we went to preschool. I did check with the preschool director the day before and she said as long as they didn't have a fever or yucky greenish stuff coming out of their noses, they are fine to come. So Daddy and Mommy took them to their first day! They walked in, got their name tags and off they went their separate ways. Mikayla went to the kitchen area to play and Delilah went to play with cars. When I went to pick them up, after doing some serious shopping at Costco and Sams Club, they were elated to see me but said they had so much fun!! They can't wait to go back on Monday!

Ultrasound Pics

Yesterday the whole family went to see our 20 week ultrasound. The results were all great. Of course, we didn't see anything telling us one way or another if it is a boy or girl. My cervix is staying hard, thick, and long... Our doc is wanting us to get through to week 23 without it changing.

One bad thing she did say is I can't travel after 28 weeks (1 hour or so - but no further). Normallly she doesn't like moms to travel after 32 weeks but since I had complications in my previous pregnancy, she doesn't like going past 28 weeks. It stinks though since we were planning on going to LA for Thanksgiving!!
