As soon as Daddy got home from work, we headed out to the State Fair. BIG MISTAKE! We know that next time when we go (which will be Tuesday), we will wait to leave around 6 pm. It was way too hot out there but at least they had lots of exhibits to walk through that kept us cool.
As soon as we got there, the girls started getting excited about the rides they were going to ride on but they had to wait because of the heat. They got to watch some dance troupes - one did Cinderella's songs so they loved that one. We went through Toytopia, which was an exhibit of all toys from way back in the day to now. They got to see an old Erector Set (that my brother had) as well as the old racecar tracks (which also my brother had and I would play with all the time). They loved seeing all the toys but it was hard since they couldn't touch. They also had a huge train set out. That kept them intrigued for some time.
Here, they get to take a miniature horse for a walk.
When it finally started to cool down, we let them get on some rides. And did they ever have fun! Mikayla is finally more daring to try things (with a little help from her sister).
Mikayla and Delilah going on their first roller coaster....
Here are our future weather reporters...
Going for a ride in the News 10 helicopter... (not really - just cardboard)
Delilah doing the bungie jump... She LOVED this!!
And surprisingly, so did Mikayla!!
Then they decided they wanted to go on the big slide... the scariest thing was watching them climb the long flight of stairs with Mikayla carrying the burlap bag!
And they are off....
And they landed!!
Here they are on the bee that they rode with adults last year cause they weren't big enough to ride by themselves... they are growing up so fast!! :-)
And the last ride of the day... another roller coaster. It was going SOO fast that I couldn't get a clear picture. Delilah already being the thrill seeker with her hands up.
