Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow

Whoo - these past two days have been some serious hair days!!  Mikayla and Delilah have NEVER had a hair cut (besides for the chunk of hair that Mikayla pulled out of Delilah's head when they were about 1 1/2 years old).  So after consulting with an experienced beautician, she said to straighten their hair before going to get it cut as many hair stylists aren't experienced with the curly hair.  So Thursday night  - it began.  I gave them baths, washed their hair, conditioned it and out they came for their long treacherous beauty regime.

Caitlin feeling bad for the girls...

Mikayla was first and never made a peep. However, the flat iron didn't work to well on her hair the first time through - however, I wasn't going to damage her hair so I left it like it was till at least she got the ends cut.  (Yes that is straightened)
Delilah before her hair gets straightened. (Look at all that hair!!)
Delilah getting her hair straightened (it wasn't the flat iron that was hurting her - just the combing)
Here is Belle afterwards (that is what she said her hair looks like)
Mikayla proud of her little scarf she wore to bed.  Now for those who don't know, they are supposed to wear scarves to keep the hair from getting messed up/tangled.  However, the scarves came off during the night with all their moving around as well as they sweat!!!  That completely defeated the reason for flat ironing - their hair went frizzy (not even curly!!)
Mikayla getting her ends trimmed off (4 year old ends)!  She was such a sport... she never made a peep the whole time!
Delilah, on the other hand, was basically praying for it to be over as soon as possible!
Delilah and all her hair!
Mikayla... almost finished.
Now I know you wanted to see after pictures, but their hair doesn't look to much different to the basic eye - however, it does look healthier in a pony tail AND it is soooo much easier to comb through now!
