Up to the Mountains We Go...But Not For Long!

Since last October when we went to Pine Mountain Lake last, the girls have said at least a couple of times a week that they want to go back to the "cabin". Since Daddy is off for a month from work, we decided to go to the cabin for a couple of days. Well, Friday, Mikayla caught some bug and threw up all night long. Saturday, she didn't... and then Sunday night she threw up once. We were supposed to leave Monday morning and didn't know if we should. But Mikayla seemed to be doing well so we went ahead and went up. First thing we did was check out our property - which was looking so lonely without a home on it (just waiting to hit those lottery numbers!!) After that, took the girls to the park and the fishing hole to just look at the water. That night, Mikayla started complaining of not feeling well so she didn't eat dinner but within 5 minutes of drinking some 7-up... her food from the day came up. After 30 minutes of cleaning, Daddy and I decided to take them home the next day so she doesn't make a mess all over the cabin. We woke up the next day, went for a nice long hike and then took the girls fishing. We finally headed home at 3 in the afternoon. It was sad to cut it short but if Mikayla was going to be sick again, it would be better for her and us if she was at home. (Needless to say - she never threw up again but then Mommy and Caitlin caught the bug on Friday).

Plus side... Caitlin finally got to see her new Home Away From Home!

Surprise Trip to Nuttree Family Park

We wanted to test out the surprise factor (as we will be surprising the girls in April - taking them to Disneyland!!) so we told the girls we had to run a couple of errands and maybe go feed the ducks and geese at the lake and for them to take a nap. And they did... most of the way to Vacaville. When they woke up, we were pulling up to Nuttree and it didn't hit them until we parked. They were so excited but of course they still asked if we were going to feed the ducks!!!

I was so excited because it was the first time I was able to ride the rollercoaster with the girls (since I was pregnant when they went with Papa and Daddy last time). It was so much fun!!

2 Months Old

Caitlin turned 2 months old yesterday and today was her 2 month old checkup.  This was our first time taking a baby to the 2 month check up so I never experienced so many shots (5) done at the same time.  Poor Caitlin!!  She had water coming out of her eyes for the first time today.  Sure, she has cried before but not with tears.  It made my heart hurt.  

She is now 11 lbs. 12 oz. (in the 50 percentile in weight) and 24 1/2 inches (in the 98 percentile in height).

FINALLY!!

Finally - I got a picture of Caitlin smiling. She has been doing it very often and loves to have fingers walk on her to make her smile even more... but I never have the camera in my reach. This morning, I was on the computer holding her and running my fingers on her tummy and out came a screech and a smile. Fortunately, the camera was on the desk to where I could take a pic... that is why it is so close!! :-)
