It took us one hour and 10 minutes to get through the maze. Not too bad. Oh - and they don't recommend strollers because of all the bumps due to the corn rows... so Caitlin was in Daddy's arms when Mommy was navigating (3/4 of the time) and in Mommy's arms when Daddy was navigating (the other 1/4 - and that was by peer pressure as Daddy didn't want to navigate). The girls loved it! They loved picking up corn on the ground... they loved all the twists and the turns. However, one time two kids ran by and scared the girls. Another time was priceless... the girls usually were walking behind mommy (the navigator) and in front of daddy (the rounder-upper) but for some reason they decided to walk in front of mommy one time. Well, mommy turned right and the girls kept going straight. Mikayla saw mommy turn so she followed but Delilah was in her own world. Daddy just stopped at the middle of the fork so he could see mommy, Mikayla and Delilah. Finally he called Delilah's name, she turned around and didn't see Mikayla or mommy and all you hear is a loud scream "MOMMY!!!" and crying. Finally she caught up and learned the hard lesson like Mikayla learned earlier this year.
After the maze, we went and looked at pumpkins, scarecrows and the girls climbed the hay stack. The girls want to go back with flashlights at night time but we won't be doing that - too many older kids were already coming in at dusk.
